      Issue Summary

When creating work items and using the create screen and we have the box option “Create another” ticked, in the new create screen, the Linked work items → (for example)Child Of field is visually retained on the next create screen but does not actually create a link on the newly created work item. This gives a false impression that the new work item will be linked to the same parent.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Go to a project where Linked work items with Child Of is available on the create screen.
      2. Click Create work item.
      3. Fill in the required fields (e.g. Summary).
      4. In Linked work items, set Child Of and select a valid parent work item (e.g. PROJECT-7).
      5. Tick the Create another checkbox.
      6. Click Create.
          • Update the Summary to a different value.
          • Confirm that Linked work items → Child Of still shows the same parent (e.g. PROJECT-7).
      1. The first work item is created.
      2. When the new Create work item screen appears
      3. Click Create again.
      4. Open both created work items and check their Linked work items section.

      Expected Results

      For both created work items:

The Linked work items → Child Of link to the selected parent (e.g. PROJECT-7) is created and visible on the issue view.

      Actual Results

      • The first work item has the correct Linked work items → Child Of link to the selected parent.
      • On the second work item:
        • The create dialog visually shows the same Child Of value (same parent) when using Create another.
        • After creation, the Linked work items section on the issue view is empty (no Child Of link is created).

      Workaround

The only workaround is to manually link the work items.
