Issue Summary
If you only map statuses to a single board column, Jira will hide all issues from the backlog and active sprints pages.
Steps to Reproduce
- Access a Board settings > Layout > Columns.
- Adjust the status mapping to a single column (you can leave some statuses unmapped).
- When returning to the board, all issues will be hidden from the backlog and board views, even though they are returned by the main filter and no quick filters are applied.
In the Column mapping screen you can even see "X work items" under the specific statuses, confirming that Jira is able to recognize that there should be issues displayed.
Expected Results
- Issues that match the configured filter, and have their statuses mapped to a column should be shown in the board backlog.
Actual Results
- If no statuses are mapped to at least one other column (only one column has status mappings), no issue is shown in the board backlog, even though they match the configured filter, and have their statuses mapped to a column.
Workaround
- Map at least one status to a different column (have at least two columns in the board containing a status mapped.
