Issue Summary
Customers using Jira Service Management (JSM) want the ability to display the Sprint field and other Jira Software fields in the JSM portal view when a customer (portal user) is creating an issue. Currently, these fields are not available for selection or display in the portal for customer roles.
Steps to Reproduce
- Configure a JSM project that is connected to a Jira Software project using the Sprint field.
- As a customer (portal user), attempt to create a new issue from the JSM portal.
- Observe the available fields in the portal view.
Expected Results
The Sprint field should be available and visible in the portal view for customers when creating an issue, allowing them to select any sprint.
Actual Results
The Sprint field and other Jira Software fields are not available in the portal view for customers. These fields are only visible to licensed Jira Software users and cannot be displayed to customers in the JSM portal due to current design limitations.
Workaround
No direct workaround exists. Customers must rely on licensed Jira Software users to set or update these fields after issue creation, or use internal workflows to manage sprint assignments.
