Summary

Importing Jira business project into Jira software can fail due to large spec files. This can occur when performing imports even without attachments or user data as the spec file size depends on the project size.

Currently, in Jira Cloud, spec files upto 2GB are supported and if the intermediate spec files during the import crosses 2GB in size, the import operation can fail.

There is no specific error on screen; however, the import operation will eventually fail (caused due to a timeout)

Suggestion

Since there is no option to increase spec size from the UI, it would be helpful to have the spec size increased for such imports that cross the hard limit of 2GB.
