Issue Summary

Currently, the Jira Cloud mobile app does not allow users to configure or view boards according to the workflow of top-level hierarchy issue types (e.g., Initiative, Feature, or custom parent types). On the web, users can adjust board settings to display columns and transitions for these higher-level issue types, but the mobile app remains locked to the workflow of lower-level issue types (such as Stories or Tasks). This limitation prevents users from tracking and transitioning top-level work items via the board view on mobile.

Expected Results

• Users should be able to select and view the workflow of any hierarchy level (including top-level issue types) on boards in the mobile app.

• The board columns and transitions should reflect the selected hierarchy level’s workflow, just as on the web.

• Users should be able to transition top-level issues directly from the board view in the mobile app.

Actual Results

• The mobile app only displays the workflow of lower-level issue types on boards.

• There is no option to switch the board to display the workflow of top-level hierarchy issue types.

• Users cannot visually track or transition top-level issues via the board view on mobile.

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
