      Issue Summary

In both Scrum and Kanban boards in Jira Software, turning off Due date in the backlog View settings does not behave as expected: the Due date field remains visible on issue cards, while the Status field is removed (if it was previously enabled).

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Open a Scrum or Kanban board in a Jira Software project.
      2. Go to the Backlog view.
      3. Open View settings (or the equivalent backlog display settings).
      4. Toggle Due date off.
      5. Observe that Due date remains visible on issue cards, and Status is no longer shown if it was previously enabled

Recording attached: Reproducing Bug in Backlog.mp4

      Expected Results

      • The Due date display option remains toggled off in the backlog View settings, and the Due date field is not shown on cards.
      • The Status field remains visible on issue cards (if enabled).

      Actual Results

      • The Due date field continues to be displayed on issue cards even when toggled off in View settings.
      • The Status field is removed from issue cards.

      Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available
