Issue Summary

It's clearer in the loom video attached, and also in the steps below.

The process that takes some seconds to "refresh" the Group By option is causing confusion to the users.

It displays a previously selected "Group By" value; Then it takes some seconds to refresh with the setting configured in the Swimlane section under the Board Settings.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Access the Board Settings > Layout > Swimlanes
2. In the Select Method dropdown, pick a value - Assignee, for example
3. Go back to the board, and in the Group By dropdown (top-right corner), pick another value, such as Stories.
4. Refresh the page
5. You'll notice that the selected value "Stories" is displayed briefly; Then the dropdown value is updated, and you'll see the value set in the Swimlane configuration - in this case, Assignee.

Expected Results

That the Board actually displays and groups by whatever value is selected - what the end-user selected previously or what's set under the Swimlanes section under Project Settings, matching what the public-facing documentation states, but without refreshing the Group By dropdown in the Board after it's loaded.

Actual Results

The dropdown's Group By is updated after some time, switching the first value displayed.

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
