      Issue Summary

When the Description field of a Jira issue is updated with formatting (such as line breaks, bullet points, numbered lists, or other rich text styles), the History tab displays the entire content as a single unformatted line.

This behavior results in the loss of all original formatting, making it difficult to review or audit changes, especially for multiline or richly formatted descriptions.

      Steps to Reproduce

      • Open any Jira Work Item.
      • Edit the Description field and add various formatting elements, such as:
        • Multiple lines (using newline/line break characters)
        • Bullet or numbered lists
        • Bold, italics, or other rich text styles
        • Tables or code blocks
      • Save the changes.
      • Navigate to the History tab of the issue.
      • Observe the representation of the Description field change in the history entry.

      Expected Results

The History tab should display the Description field changes with all original formatting preserved, including line breaks, lists, and other rich text elements.

      Actual Results

All formatting is lost in the History tab. The updated Description content is rendered as a single continuous line of plain text, with no line breaks, lists, or other formatting preserved.

      Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
