Issue Summary

When using the insert element action and searching for elements, the insert doesn't work if a text is selected on the comment box.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Write something in the comment
2. Select the text
3. Click the "+" button to insert an element
4. Search for something (i.e. "note")
5. Note that the element isn't added with the text on it as intended

Expected Results

The element should be added with the selected text on it 

Actual Results

Nothing is added

Workaround

Add the element without the text being selected, then copy-past the text inside the element
