Suggestion: explore consolidating these two different board grouping settings that appear to have overlapping functionality.

Issue Summary

Configuring the Swimlanes in the board settings has no effect unless the Group By options are also selected on the board.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open any board and go to Configure Board.
2. Select Swimlanes and choose any option from the drop-down.
3. Return to the board.

Expected Results

The data should be shown in swimlanes as per the configuration selected.

Actual Results

The data isn't shown in the swimlane configured. Instead, it follows the option selected by the user under the Group By option.

Ideally, if the user selects *Group By: None, the system should follow the swimlane configuration selected by the board admin and display the issue in swimlanes accordingly.

However, with the current setup, the user has to select the Group By option on the board, which makes the Swimlane configuration irrelevant.

Workaround

The users can select the required options under the Group By option on the board to display the issues as required.
