Issue Summary

Currently, it is only possible to filter the backlog by status if you create custom filters for each status in your project/board. While dynamic filters appear for Epics, Types, Version etc a similar one for Status does not appear.

Since you can have work items in statuses other than To Do or similar in your backlog, it can be tedious having to scroll to find the right work items to include on the board.

For customers with a large backlog or volume of work being done, the ability to filter by status in the backlog would be useful. 

Workaround

Navigate to Board Settings > Custom filters and create filters for any specific statuses that you might want to narrow down results to.
