Jira Cloud's field formatting, particularly for number fields, often displays differently in the issue view compared to the list view (e.g., in a search results table or a backlog) as they follow different code in the backend.

While you can configure number formatting (like adding commas for thousands separators) within a custom field's settings, these visual enhancements are primarily applied when viewing the individual issue. The list view typically presents the raw, unformatted value.

The way it is, it's causing some confusion for the user as they can't understand how they have two different views of the same value.

We have customers who use the list view a lot, and when they need to type a large number, they get confused by the number of zeros, which can lead to mistakes and cause serious problems.
