In the new workflow editor, the right-side list of conditions, validators, and post-functions lacks clear identifiers, making it difficult to distinguish between similar items. Users must open each item to identify it, and after closing, there is no reference to which item was just viewed. This is especially problematic for workflows with many similar or repetitive activities.
Current Workaround:
Users resort to numbering items on paper and counting down the list to keep track of which item to edit. Alternatively, they revert to the old editor for more efficient navigation.
Impact:
- Increased risk of errors when editing workflow logic.
- Time-consuming and inefficient workflow management.
- Severe workflow management challenges if the old editor is deprecated.
Suggested Improvements:
- Add unique identifiers, labels, or preview information to each item in the list.
- Highlight or mark the last opened item for easy reference.
- Provide better navigation or filtering options for large lists of workflow components.
