Conditional Mandatory Fields Based on Boolean Values in Workflow Transitions

Currently, Jira Cloud does not support the ability to make fields conditionally mandatory based on the value of another field during a workflow transition. This feature would greatly enhance the flexibility of workflows by allowing administrators to set fields as required only when certain conditions are met.

      Use Case:

      • Field A is a Boolean field with values "True" and "False".
      • Field B is a text field.
      • Requirement:
        • When Field A is "True", Field B should become mandatory.
        • When Field A is "False", Field B should remain optional.

This feature is crucial for scenarios where complex business logic dictates that certain fields should only be mandatory under specific conditions.

It would save time and reduce the need for custom scripting or third-party plugins.

      Benefits:

      • Enhances workflow customization.
      • Reduces reliance on third-party add-ons for conditional logic.
      • Simplifies administration by providing more native capabilities.
