There is a new feature being released as part of the rollout of "Request access when you can’t view a work item" here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/blog/2025/09/atlassian-cloud-changes-aug-25-to-sep-1-2025.
However, some users ( who do not have browse project permission) might notice that the requested access might not be sent to project admins. This is because the permission logic that lets users view projects in the JRACLOUD: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-75053 ticket is the same logic that we use to determine if a user can view projects. So effectively, it incorrectly interprets that users can already see projects and won't create an access request.
It would be great if this logic is decoupled from it and have its own way of determining the permissions.
