User Problem

In the new UI for the Fields page in settings, there is a new character limit for the field description.

For existing fields created in the old UI (where there was no character limit), the descriptions remain the same, however you cannot add any new text, only removing it until you're under the 255 limit.

Suggested Solutions

Increase the character limit for descriptions on custom fields, or through a different means to make this more clear since currently there are no visual errors, it just appears that the field won't accept additional text.

Current Workarounds

You can only reduce it down to under 255 characters which will allow you to update/change the description.
