User Story
As a software developer working on projects,
I want the full breadcrumb to be displayed at all times in the issue view of a Jira work item,
so that I am constantly aware of how my current tasks relate to larger objectives, such as Epics, and can maintain a broader perspective on the impact of my work, beyond just delivering individual Stories. This visibility should eliminate the need to click on the breadcrumb to understand the high-level context of the project delivery.
Acceptance Criteria:
- The full breadcrumb path is visible at all times without needing any user interaction, at any work item hierarchy level
- The breadcrumb clearly shows the hierarchy from the current task to the overarching task, including any intermediate steps.
- The breadcrumb must show all hierarchy levels defined and linked for the specific work item, beyond just the standard levels.
Visual UI example draft:
Current Situation:
The breadcrumb is currently hidden and requires user interaction (clicking) to navigate from one work item to another, which may result in a lack of awareness of the task's context within larger projects or epics

Benefits:
This feature is essential for organizations operating in a scaled agile environment, where multiple teams work collaboratively towards the same high-level objectives.
- Increased Contextual Awareness: Encourages developers and users to understand the larger context and significance of their work within the organization.
- Alignment with Organizational Goals: Promotes alignment with broader organizational objectives by making the connection to Epics (high-level hierarchy) more transparent and accessible.
- Enhanced Motivation and Engagement: Boosts motivation and engagement by clearly highlighting how individual contributions impact larger initiatives, reinforcing the value of each task.
