Issue Summary

Cloning a work item may result on a newly created work item reporter field value filled as Anonymous (empty behind the scenes).

Steps to Reproduce

Steps to reproduce are not 100% defined as it is still not clear why it happens. Atlassian development team requested to raise the public bug.

Expected Results

Clone work item should have reporter field value matching the original work item.

Actual Results

Clone work item is created with Anonymous set for the Reporter field value.

Workaround

Manually fill in the Reporter field value to match the original work item.

In some cases, providing the user encountering this problem with the “Modify Reporter” permission in the project stops the bug from reproducing.
