Problem
In the new Jira UI, if a project has multiple boards, then the board order appears to be random, and the last accessed board comes on top, which makes it difficult to consistently locate important boards.
Suggested Solution
Have the ability to sort the boards as per the use case or alphabetical order.
Similar to the previous UI, where it wasn't possible to manually reorder boards, the board order was sorted alphabetically. This allowed to control the board order by prefixing their names (e.g., 1_, 2_, 3_, etc.).
Why This Is Important
If there are multiple boards in a project, but few are very important. The users rely on having them appear at the top of the list for easy access, so the lack of a stable or predictable sort order will make it difficult.
Workaround
Users can add the board to starred, so that the boards will be added to the starred section and easily accessible.
