Background:
Currently, Jira enforces a limit of 10,000 worklogs per issue to maintain performance and reliability. However, for large organizations, especially those undergoing audits, this limit poses challenges in managing extensive worklogs.
Request:
We request an increase in the worklog limit beyond 10,000 to accommodate the needs of large organizations that require detailed worklog tracking for audits and other purposes. The current limit necessitates creating new issues periodically, which is not optimal for audit trails and data accessibility.
Current Workarounds:
- Utilize Bulk Move and Bulk Delete Worklog APIs to manage worklogs.
- Automate the creation of new issues periodically to distribute worklogs across multiple tickets.
- Explore third-party solutions like Tempo for aggregating and managing worklogs.
