Issue Summary

When cloning a Parent issue in Jira Cloud, leaving the "Include Work Items" checkbox unchecked still results in child work items being cloned and associated with the new Parent issue. Please see the screenshots below:

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open a Parent issue (e.g., an Epic) that contains child work items.
2. Click on “Clone”. In the Clone dialog, leave the “Include Work Items” checkbox unchecked, and proceed to clone the issue.

Expected Results

Only the Parent issue should be cloned. Child work items should not be duplicated or associated with the cloned issue.

Actual Results

Child work items are cloned regardless of the unchecked checkbox and are associated as child items under the new Parent issue.

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
