Issue Summary

Users are encountering an issue in Jira where older comments do not remain visible after clicking the 'Show more comments' button. Instead, the comments briefly appear before collapsing again, redirecting users back to the top of the issue page.

This issue has been reported across multiple browsers, including Chrome, Edge, and Firefox

Steps to Reproduce

1. Go to your Jira instance
2. Open a Jira Issue (preferably one with several comments and the content of the comments is of at least a few lines.)
3. Click on "Show more comments"
4. The page does not load with the extra comments seamlessly, instead, it redirects to the top of the issue page

Expected Results

The expected result when clicking the 'Show more comments' button in Jira is that the older comments should load and remain visible in the correct order, allowing users to continue reading through the comments seamlessly.

Actual Results

When users click the 'Show more comments' button in Jira is that the older comments do not remain visible. Instead, the comments briefly appear before collapsing again, and users are redirected back to the top of the issue page

Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available
