Currently, Jira Cloud does not provide an out-of-the-box feature to list all public forms across an instance. This limitation requires administrators to manually check each project to determine which forms are publicly accessible, a process that is time-consuming and prone to error.
Proposed Solution:
Introduce a feature that allows Jira administrators to generate a report or view a list of all forms or projects that are publicly accessible across the entire Jira Cloud instance.
Benefits:
- Improved Efficiency: Reduces the need for manual checks, saving time for Jira administrators.
- Enhanced Security Oversight: Provides a centralized view of public forms, helping to maintain security standards.
Workaround:
Currently, the only workaround is to manually review each project's permissions to identify forms or projects that are publicly accessible. Administrators can manage the access level for each form by following these steps:
- Go to the project menu and select Forms.
- Select the form you want to edit.
- Click on Access (denoted by an icon).
- Choose one of the access levels: Limited, Open, or Public.
These steps must be repeated for each form within each project to determine and adjust public accessibility. This manual process is necessary due to the absence of a centralized feature to list all public forms across the entire instance.
