Search for Parent issues has different results in Parent field and Issue Hierarchy Bar

      Issue Summary

      Currently, we can see a difference in the behavior when searching for the same parent issue in two fields/locations within the Jira issue.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Go to the child issue (level 0 on the hierarchy).
      2. Look for the Parent field within the screen and then, search for some keywords related to the summary of the desired parent issue (preferably on a done status), selecting the Done Issues checkbox..
        • Observe that no issues were returned in the search.
      3. Now, look for the Add parent button on the top bar. Click on it and then, View all parents.
        On the Add parent, search for the same keywords.
        • Observe that the issue was returned as an option.

      Expected Results

      1. The desired parent issue should return on the search on both locations.

      Actual Results

      1. The desired parent issue only returns as an option on the issue's hierarchy bar.

      Workaround

      Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
