Issue Summary
When a user types in a special characters in Jira issues summary or Confluence pages or Jira Automation name etc. they cannot enter the special characters. For example, the Japanese characters "「 " or " 」" cannot be entered when it is typed along with the other characters such as "【" or "】".
Steps to Reproduce
- Log in to Jira or Confluence using Chrome or Edge (It is not reproducible in Fire Fox)
- Start typing "【 " , immediately followed by "「" in Jira issues summary or Confluence pages or Jira Automation name
- "「" is not entered and is gone while "【 " is properly entered.
Expected Results
- Log in to Jira or Confluence.
- Start typing "【 " , immediately followed by "「" in Jira issues summary or Confluence pages or Jira Automation name
- "「" is entered correctly, so the result will be "【「 "
Actual Results
- Log in to Jira or Confluence using Chrome or Edge (It is not reproducible in Fire Fox)
- Start typing "【 " , immediately followed by "「" in Jira issues summary or Confluence pages or Jira Automation name
- "「" is not entered and is gone while "【 " is properly entered.
Shown in the attached screen recording.
Workaround
Use Fire Fox instead. It is not reproduced in Fire Fox while Google Chrome and MS Edge reproduces. This is most likely due to the fact that Chrome and Edge share same technology (Chronium)
