Issue Summary
After editing the "Affects Versions" and "Fix Versions" fields in a Jira issue, duplicate fields appear on the issue page. Refreshing the page temporarily resolves the issue, but navigating back to the page causes the duplicates to reappear. This affects the ability to edit these fields and causes random usability issues.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open a Jira issue.
- Edit the "Affects Versions" and "Fix Versions" fields.
- Observe that each of these fields is duplicated with the same values.
- Refresh the page using Control/F5, and the duplicates disappear.
- Navigate away from the issue and then return; the duplicate fields reappear.
Expected Results
After editing the "Affects Versions" and "Fix Versions" fields, each field should display only once on the issue page. The changes should be persistent and correctly reflected without requiring a page refresh. Navigating away from and returning to the issue should not result in duplicate fields appearing. The fields should be easily editable without any interaction issues.
Actual Results
After editing the "Affects Versions" and "Fix Versions" fields in a Jira issue, the page displays two sets of each field, both showing the same values. This duplication persists until the page is refreshed with Control/F5, at which point the duplicates disappear. However, navigating away from the issue and returning causes the duplicates to reappear. This duplication makes it difficult to interact with the fields, sometimes preventing edits.
Workaround
Keep the affected and fix versions fields in the section above 'Hide when empty' for all issues in the configuration screen for an issue.
