Issue Summary
The 'Recent Versions' feature within the 'Fix Versions' field demonstrates some inconsistencies and fails to update correctly in certain scenarios.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create six new releases/versions
- Add all of them in the Fix Version field of a Jira Issue.
- The last 5 created will be shown in the Recent Versions field
- The 5 most recently created versions will be shown in 'Recent Versions'
- When trying to add/remove the primarily created version to the 'Fix Versions' field, the version will not be updated in the 'Recent Versions' feature.
The behavior can be checked in the screen recording provided below. This is particularly noticeable from the 1-minute mark in the video:
'Recent Versions' is not Working Properly for the Fix Versions field
Expected Results
The 'Recent Versions' feature should accurately display the versions with which you've recently interacted.
Actual Results
The order followed by the 'Recent Versions' feature is unclear and appears not to be updating correctly in some scenarios.
Workaround
- While there aren't any direct workarounds, you could potentially archive the older versions that have already been released to decrease the options displayed. However, the effectiveness of this approach may vary on a case-by-case basis.
