When viewing the tickets of an EPIC, you have several options to order them (created, key, priority).

With sub-tasks of a task you can drag and drop them for ordering. For Epics and Stories this is not possible.

 

I would either propose

• to have more options for ordering e.g. Summary, Rank, etc.
• or have the option to drag & drop normal issue types like sub-tasks
