Pressing the "Enter" key is One Carriage Return Line Feed

XMLWordPrintable

When I press the "Enter" one time, I expect to get one Carriage Return / Line Feed.

So why is it when I press the "Enter" key one time, I get essentially two Carriage Return / Line feed?

And if I want only one Carriage Return / Line Feed, why do I have to press two keys Shift + Enter?

      This makes no sense.

If I want one CRLF, I press Enter once.
If I want two CRLF, I press Enter twice.

Why do you have to make this so stupidly complex?
