Currently, for our documentation page Change color of issue schedule bars on your timeline, it indicates:

On the timeline, you can change the color of parent issue’s schedule bar, which is then applied to all of its child issues.

Since selecting the Epic color will reflect in the Timeline bar for the Epic as well as its children, the request is to allow being able to decide if we want the Epic and children's status to reflect in the Timeline bar color instead of just the Epic color, just like it is already done in Jira Work Management projects, or to use the Epic color like they already do.
