Ability to define tooltips/descriptions for board objects

      It would make a good improvement to have the ability to define descriptions shown as tooltips for board objects, such as columns, swimlanes & quick filters.

      Problem Definition

      Currently there is no possibility to have a description under the Column name on the board

      Suggested Solution

      Customer would want to add description under the Column name on the board

            This is the biggest disappointment when migrating from Jira Server to Jira Cloud.  We used the tooltips on the board quick filters in Jira Server and now we've lost this ability so we're scrambling on how to work around it.

            Quick filter's description don't show as tooltips on hover for Jira Cloud. I'm sure it was working for Jira Classic a long time ago.

            This is a missing functionality. Please add it to Jira Cloud!

            @mjopson - Yes, we can add descriptions to quick filters, but I don't see it as a tooltip when I hover over that quick filter on my board.  Am I missing something?

            Quick Filters and JQL Swimlanes currently have this functionality.
            Columns with multiple statuses will show them when an issue is being transitioned to that column.

            Also a good default for the description of columns should be the included statuses (if there is more then one, or if the status name is different from the column name)
