Background:
It's common for all teams to go through the situation of previously identified scope or scenario being identified on run-time during a sprint. Most common solution is to split the newly identified scenarios and scope into a separate issue and link the two issues and the Split Issue feature does a perfect job of this currently when accessing the Backlog view.
However, there are some limitations in using the Spilt Issue and it would be extremely useful for the Product Owners and Product Manager communities using Jira is the following options would be available.
- Ability to split issue in an active sprint using the split issue function via
- Issue options by right clicking the ticket
- More actions menu on issue details
- Ability to split sub-tasks into multiple sub-tasks on the same issue or a separate issue
