Issue Summary

Jira offers the possibility to create issues directly from boards, by hovering over issue cards on the board and clicking on . However, this tool breaks when the priority field isn't present on the project's screens:

Issue creation via other means works perfectly though.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a new Kanban project
2. Create a couple of issues to populate the board
3. Remove the Priority field from all screens
4. Try to create issues directly from the board as shown in the screenshot
5. Verify the error. Open dev tools and check that the request fails as "Priority" is not set (it should be using default if none is being selected)
6. Try to create issues via other means and verify that it works corretly
7. Add Priority field back to screens
8. Do item 4 again, it works now

Expected Results

The presence or absence of the Priority field in screens should not have influence whatsoever in issue creation, whatever the method

Actual Results

Issue creation via board is impossible when the Priority field isn't present on screens

Workaround

• Instead of removing the Priority field from screens, use Field Configurations to just the field instead
• Might be necessary to create separate Field Configurations and Field Configuration schemes, so ensure this workaround affects only the desired projects
