    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Portfolio Cloud. Using JIRA Portfolio Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

The following changes can be made to make Portfolio more accessible to people with disabilities:

      • Make everything accessible via the keyboard. Includes
        • Table column headers
        • Expanding/collapsing table rows
        • Re-ranking table rows
        • Information displayed on mouse hover
        • Reports
      • Keyboard navigation should not become trapped in an input field
      • Input fields should have names to inform blind users what field they are on
      • Text-less buttons should have a name

Generally speaking, the goal is to reach Section 508 compliance.

atlassian224646784 vguido610186844 this is being tracked in the main JIRA tracker (it's not provided by the Portfolio codebase). The main issue is https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-61625 — and it's a complex fix due to the asynchronous loading of those menu links.

This ticket was last looked at by Atlassian in April - any updates on when someone will pick it up to resolve?

I almost regret agreeing to lump these all in one ticket. Maybe if they were still in the smaller pieces of work someone could have at least resolved a few of them.

There are keyboard accessibility issues in the menu Jira dropdown menus.

            This is inconsistent:
for example the "Capture" menu is keyboard accessible, meaning I can select sub menus from the keyboard once I tab to open it up.
However, when tabbing to the "Issues" menu it is not possible to select sub menu items using the keyboard alone.

I'm available to help whoever picks these up to be fixed.
