      Currently, you cannot add the Original Estimate field to the new experience.

      Why this is important

      Customers need to set original estimate in live plans

      Workaround

      Copy the Original Estimate value into a custom field and add the custom field to the Plan view. However, this approach will not factor in the custom field in the plan scheduling. The steps are as follows:

      1. Create a custom field of “Text Field (single line)” type. Let’s call it Copy of Org Estimate
      2. Add the custom field to the Edit and View screens
      3. Create an Automation rule
        • Choose the Field value changed trigger
        • Choose Time Tracking in the Fields to monitor for changes
        • In the For field, Create and Edit Issue should be good enough. But add all the options if necessary:
        • Next, choose the Edit Issue component
        • From the Choose fields to set drop-down, select the custom field. In this case, Copy of Org Estimate
        • In the fields below add this smart value - issue.fields.timetracking.originalEstimate
        • Publish the rule. Test the rule and then proceed.
      4. Go to the plan
        • Go to Plan settings > Custom fields
        • Add the Copy of Org Estimate custom field
        • In the Fields section of the plan, add the Copy of Org Estimate using the drop-down menu under the Field heading:
