      Atlassian Update – 20 November 2023

      Hi all,

The browser function (ctrl-f/cmd-f) will not work the same on the new board, backlog, and timeline as it did on the old UI. This is down to how we load the data onto your screen. We apologise for this inconvenience.
Instead, please use the search filter situated near the top of the page (just below the page header - e.g. Backlog) and to the left of the filter bar. Once you clear the filter, the page will be automatically scrolled to the topmost selected issue.
We're also currently working on a highlight text feature where your work won't be filtered, and instead, keywords will be highlighted.

      Regards

      Issue Summary

When attempting to use the Browser Ctrl/Cmd + F searching for an issue by ID (e.g. "1947") will not look through the entire list of issues in the backlog.

Using the Backlog Search bar will find the issue BUT it won't display its location in the backlog list.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Go into a project with lots of issues
      2. Press Ctrl/Cmd + F or use browser settings > Find
      3. Search for a known issue in the list by its numerical ID (e.g. Project ANG-1444 search for "1444
      4. The find will show 0 out of 0 matches
      5. Then search for the issue in the Backlog search bar and the issue will appear

      Expected Results

The "Find" feature in the browser should be able to find an issue by its numerical ID

      Actual Results

The below exception is thrown in the xxxxxxx.log file:

      N/A

      Workaround

Currently there is no workaround for this.
