Option to search for Text custom fields in Backlog search

      Problem Definition:

      It would be beneficial to be able to search for values in a custom text field using the backlog search option covered in the "Using your Kanban backlog" documentation which currently only allows you to:

      Search for an issue by name, code, or assignee.

      This would align the alternate search locations functionality and feature set with the similar global quick search functionality that was added to Jira back in 2012 via Jira 5.2:

            With quick filters being limited to preset values, and Board filters being limited only to specific fields, including other fields in board search would help navigate projects utilizing custom fields with a large number of values (in my case, close to a 100).

            Including the field in card layout and instructing the user to utilize browser search sort of works, but is also very clumsy (not to mention having to reserve one of the three Card Layout fields).

            Hi,

            I want to support this feature request. I am using Scrum Issue Type Screen Scheme

            and always have to switch from the Backlog Screen to search for external issue Ids (custom attribute) to the general Issue Screen to us the Quick Search/JQL.

            This is annoying as I know I have this Issue in my backlog, but the backlog search does not search over comments or custom attributes and searching here gives no result back.

            Please add these fields to the Backlog search as this would save a lot of time.
