    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Open Chrome / any Jira Cloud Kanban board (classic project)
      2. Press CMD+F (Mac) or CTRL+F (Win) and enter any ticket name that is on the board (e.g. JSWCLOUD-18763)

Actual result: text is not found on the board

Expected result: text is found on the board and highlighted using built-in "Find"/search browser's functionality

Are there any updates about when this bug and/or JSWCLOUD-25592 will be fixed?

We show labels on our tickets so we can tag them as needing special attention (support request, blocked by another team, etc.)  We need Ctrl+F because the Jira search box does not return anything when searching for a label.

I've been asked on my end to close the ticket there. No, I do not approve. Ctrl-F should work the way it always works in Chrome: text displayed on any page should be searchable with Ctrl-F. Using the other search area is a workaround, and not a very desirable one, e.g., if I search for ticket #8329 in my project, I’ll find it in all other projects. I just want to be able to search the displayed text; that’s what Ctrl-F is for.

Same problem here. Searching for issue numbers doesn't work anymore with ctrl+F (new backlog) - neither in Backlog nor in Kanban, it's really annoying!

It appears the problem is back.  It seems to have something to do with lazy-loading.  If the issue is not visible on the screen (even if I already scrolled past it), the Ctrl-F browser search can't find the issue on the screen, and using the Jira search doesn't help me figure out where it is in relation to other issues so I can move it up or down to prioritize.  Seems to be related or a duplicate of this issue https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/ctrl-f-does-not-work/qaq-p/2476300?anon_like=2476300

Thanks for responding a0690d30dd7d. I'm going to leave this ticket open for another week in case any other users encounter different behaviour.

It does appear to be working as expected now, and HTML seems to have changed, so someone must have fixed it.

@roman we also have many projects at ne board. Maybe they're rolling out update to many cloud instances. Fingers crossed
