Issue Summary

When create an issue on a Jira Software board users will sometime see the error

 {quote}"The issue XXX has been created but is not currently visible on the board" {quote}

Which gives no indication of the actual problem / how to make the issue visible on the board.

Causes

If the created issue is in a Status that is not mapped to a column on the board, it will not appear on the board and instead the above modal will appear.
