Add " Days in column " option to card layout in team-managed projects

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

As a user, I want to be able to find out how many days a given card has been in a column in a next-gen project, so that I can identify slow-moving issues.

Currently this can be done in Classic projects (see image ) under Board Settings > Card layout. I wish to have this feature in next-gen projects as well.

Why isn't this already a thing when it is in company-managed boards? Surely it can't be difficult to implement.

This seems like a pretty basic and expected feature. Please bring it to team managed.

+1, we really could use this feature on our next gen board.  We're doing Kanban and have tickets that have gotten "stuck" in the code review column for weeks.  As a delivery manager, it would help me immensely to quickly see how long each has been in a given column.

@Ash King, why do you need to spend time doing user research?  It's the same functionality that's on Classic projects.  I moved to a new company that, unfortunately, uses next-gen.  This is a fast visual indicator you can use during standup to note slow moving cards so you can identify blockers or know where to support.

This is a very important feature in Kanban Project management, allow to easily identify where the bottlenecks are. Eliminating bottleneck is the whole point of kanban.

My team was recently discussing reassigning issues in the to-do column that are not getting attention. This feature would take the guess work out of it. I also used this feature a lot when I used to use Jira classic projects.
