Issue Summary

The filter selection of a gadget does not work when the filter has some special characters in the name. Example:

Some tested characters that work:

• #
• @
• %
• +
• _
• ""

That doesn't work:

• [ ]
• -
• { }

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a filter with a special character in the name ([ ], -, { }) 
2. Try to search for this field in the gadget. 

Expected Results

We expected to be able to search for this filter.

Actual Results

The filter will not be displayed even if you type the exact name.

Workaround

Create a copy of this filter without these characters.
