Issue Summary

Changing "Parent" to itself in Bulk Update generates an incorrect "Parent Link" change item

Steps to Reproduce

1. Find a base-level issue with a parent in a company-managed project
2. Initiate a Bulk Update for this issue
3. In Bulk Update, find the "Parent" field, and set it to the current (existing) parent of this issue.
   • Note that in Bulk Update, this field will appear empty. To get the current parent, open this issue in Jira UI (step 1).
4. Execute Bulk Update.
5. Check the "History" tab in the Issue View.

Expected Results

No change items have been generated for this issue, since "Parent" has not changed.

Actual Results

A change item for the "Parent Link" field has been generated. It has the new value as null. The actual parent has not changed.

Workaround

Either of:

• Do not change "Parent" to itself in Bulk Update
• Ignore the "Parent Link" change item
