Currently, it's not allowed to create Jira issues via Slack emoji reactions, as it is in JSM using Atlassian Assist.

Suggested Solution

• Provide the possibility to Atlassian Assist also create Jira issues when a Slack message is reacted with a specific emoji. This is for both Jira Software and JSM projects.

Workaround

As a workaround, this can be done using Slack Workflow Builder:

• Set Up a Workflow:
  • Go to Slack > (...) More > Automations > Workflow Builder;
  • Create a new workflow with a "When an emoji reaction is used" trigger. 
• Actions:
  • Send a message to a channel;
  • Collect info in a form;
  • Jira Cloud > Create an issue > Perform the integration and configure the creation issue form!
