      Issue Summary

In Jira Datacenter, it is possible to open an issue and with no further inputs, paste an image from a clipboard. In Jira Cloud, it is necessary to manually click the issue after opening it, to "focus" the browser on the issue itself. Only then will it be possible to attach an image via a clipboard paste input.

This is reproducible on Data Center: no

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Find a test image, and Copy this image to clipboard
      2. Open an issue in Jira, either in full-screen view, or pop-up view
      3. Input clipboard paste, e.g. CMD+V on MacOS

      Expected Results

Image should be immediately uploaded as an attachment to Jira issue

      Actual Results

      No results.

      Workaround

User must manually click inside the frame containing the issue, then input the paste command for successful results.

NOTE: this behavior is slightly different from manually clicking inside an issue field before the paste command. It is possible to directly upload images as attachments by editing the Description field, for example. But you can also upload images as generic attachments not related to a field.

The behavior described in this bug is exclusively surrounding the need on Cloud to click and refocus the browser on the issue frame before the paste command will work, and how that behavior differs from Jira DC.
