Issue Summary
When using the date time picker in the Jira native android app, it seems to change the default time displayed based on the user timezone setting.
For example:
Consider the current time = 12:30pm
Opening the date time picker and after selecting the date, the default time displayed is 10:30am. You manually have to update this to the current time each time since it defaults to a couple of hours behind.
The amount of time it deviates by is likely depenedent on the "Default user time zone" setting in Jira > General Configuration or the users timezone set from their Profile > Account preferences
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to Jira > System > General Configuration
- Set the default user time zone to Asia/Singapore ( which ~ GMT+8 ) if you are based out of GMT+10. Essentially, change it to something ahead or behind your current time.
- Navigate to id.atlassian.com > Account preferences and set your location to Asia/Shanghai ( which ~ is also GMT+8 )
- Open the Jira mobile app
- Navigate to any datetime picker field. Either in an issue or when starting a sprint etc
- Select the date and click ok
- The time selector is shown but it defaults to a few hours behind the actual current time
Expected Results
The default time displayed is the users current time
Actual Results
The time displayed will differ by a few hours based on settings
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
