Currently, the new CSV import method under Settings > System > External System Import (New Jira import wizard) does not have any options to export and use a configuration file.

The configuration file is very important to save time when importing issues. Many users regularly import similar CSV files to create issues in Jira. With a configuration file, it is not necessary to select each field in every import.

It is important for the feature to be available on the new import method before the old method is deprecated.

Workaround

• "Switch to the old experience" and continue using previous options (CSV/json) to edit the issues.
