Issue Summary

Highlighting text in the Description of an issue and switching tabs causes the focus goes to the end of the issue

Steps to Reproduce

1. Go to any board and open any issue so it appears as a dialog / pop up.
2. Ensure the issue has a relatively long Description so there is a scroll bar within the issue view.
3. Highlight a portion of the test and then switch tabs and then come back.

Expected Results

The text is still highlighted and the focus/position of the scroll is the same as before switching tabs.

Actual Results

The focus/scrolling goes to the end of the issue: Focus jumps to the bottom of the issue.mp4

Notes:

• This was tested on a Windows computer. It is reproducible in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. In Mozilla Firefox it is not even possible to highlight text as the selection is lost after releasing the mouse button (which has its own bug report JRACLOUD-83939).
• This happens specifically with the Description field, it does not seem to affect other muti-line text fields.

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
