Issue Summary
The new issue import allows us to import users from different ticketing tools directly into a new project in our system, also allowing the option to import the users.
When importing projects, however, not all users who ever commented or opened a ticket need access to the instance and currently the importer imports all as valid users, meaning there also need to be licenses for all these users.
If the user import is untoggled, even the comments are imported as Anonymous, so it's very important to import the users so that all the information is correctly imported.
Steps to Reproduce
- From the navigation bar, select Projects > Create a new project
- From the sidebar, go to More > select Import data
- Select Import to a new business project
- From the Import from apps section, select the ticketing tool from which you'd like to import tickets
- Make sure to Import users
Expected Results
The process imports the issues and users, and the users imported are set as inactive, making it possible to import users without the need to increase the license number.
Actual Results
The process only imports the issues and users in case there are licenses available for all of the users identified in the process.
Workaround
Raise the license limit temporarily, import the issues and users, and if necessary, delete the users later.
