Issue Summary
Changing a status name results in an incomplete entry in the Audit log.
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to the Statuses catalog (Jira settings > Issues > Statuses)
- Change the name of any status.
- Go to the audit log and look for the change made.
Expected Results
There is an entry in the audit log indicating a status was updated, with the original name and the new name indicated.
Actual Results
There is an entry in the audit log indicating a status was updated, but it only indicates the new name, making it impossible to know what was the original status name.
Workaround
- Looking at existing workflows using that status and the transition names may help determine the original name.
- You can try checking with project administrators and board users who are familiar with the expected steps in an issue and how they relate to a board column, as they might be able to share what the expected statuses should be mapped to each.
