Resetting the sandbox instance instead of deleting and recreating the product.

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

      Issue Summary

      • The current behaviour of the sandbox in order to test multiple imports is to be deleted and recreated, and any change made within a sandbox won’t affect production.
      • To test a migration using a sandbox use the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant or Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant. Also, the recommendation is that if you want to test your server import multiple times, delete and recreate your sandbox. We don’t recommend testing multiple import files at the same time, as it's likely to not work.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a sandbox
      2. Perform the test migration
      3. To perform the next test, it needs to be deleted and recreated in order to reset the data.

      Expected Results

      • To have the option to reset the data on the desired sandbox(i.e. a feature to "reset your instance") instead of having to manually delete and recreate products or import an “empty” zip backup file.
      • Even having the "Overwrite existing cloud users" feature for all including the org that has multiple sites would be helpful in resetting the data in sandbox environment.
